I think you should put some perches in the boxes and well insulate the? floor of the boxes with straw. Also, how often do you let them outside? Beautiful chickens and i hope they are all well for you. enjoy your fresh eggs.!

Just for some good advice. I think shoud get a thin plastic plant pot.? And if it has hole put some small peices of 2x4s that are about 2 1/2inches over them. And put a haeting lamp inside it. And a bugie tie over the pot so they dont knock it over and burn them self...There shouldnt be any light when their sleeping. Hope this helpd. Msg me for other questions im always wanting to help somebody!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi I have chicken too,there outside all winter.they do get extra feathers in winter time.? I think you need room for them there that will keep them warmer in the cold night and days.. Mybe cover it with plywood during winter? My coop is farther away from my house and no heating at all, but insulated.thank you for sharing,its great to have your own fresh eggs.. We have our chickens now for five years..
